TEHRAN - Speech of Dr. Abdolkarim Soroush, which was to be delivered Wednesday at the Amir Kabir University was canceled due to unclear reasons, the Central News Bureau (CNB) reported yesterday. One of the university's officials told CNB that "last night, a message was sent to Mr. Soroush declaring that his lecture had been canceled."

Some banners on the university's walls cited the university management's opposition as the reason for the cancelation.
